Ex-Crystal Palace man Ruben Loftus-Cheek has taken to Instagram to respond to Patrick van Aanholt’s latest upload, while Jeffrey Schlupp has also posted a comment on the Dutchman’s picture.
The Chelsea midfielder spent the 2017/18 campaign as a teammate of Van Aanholt while on loan at Selhurst Park, where he managed to play his way into Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad after an impressive season which saw him net two goals and record four assists in 24 Premier League appearances for the Eagles.
Loftus-Cheek has since returned to Chelsea and is currently making his way back from a long-term heel injury, after enjoying a decent campaign last term in which he scored ten goals and set up a further five.
The 24-year-old also shared a dressing room with Schlupp during his season at Selhurst Park, and the Ghana international has been in communication with Van Aanholt as well over his latest post.
