And the fact they have signed Yoro does not mean they are less likely to pursue deals for Bayern Munich centre-back De Ligt or Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite. GOAL understands that although the deal for Yoro has moved ahead, De Ligt and Branthwaite are both still admired by United. They remain options to sign subject to having budget and squad space available as the transfer window evolves.

They have had two bids for Branthwaite rejected by Everton, the latest worth up to £50 million ($64m). De Ligt, who had a hugely successful period at Ajax under Erik ten Hag, is valued at €50m (£42m/$54m).
