Glasgow Rangers are reportedly now ‘chasing’ Ross Stewart ahead of a potential move in the summer.
The Lowdown: ‘Incredible’ season
As Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips rightfully puts it, Stewart has been ‘incredible’ at the Stadium of Light this season.

The striker has no fewer than 22 goals and a further five assists in 41 games in total in League One (five games left to play.
The Latest: Rangers ‘chasing’
As per The Northern Echo journalist Scott Wilson, the Ibrox faithful are just one of a number of clubs that are now ‘chasing’ Stewart ahead of a summer move.
Both Norwich City and Swansea City are also thought to be interested in his signature, and Black Cats manager Alex Neil is ‘aware’ of their interest.
The Verdict: Morelos replacement?
It has already been reported that the Teddy Bears could now look to cash in on Alfredo Morelos this summer, as his contract runs down to just a year left.
If he were to leave, it would leave them relatively light up top, and so Stewart could be the man in line to replace him.
Described as a ‘menace’ by journalist Philip West, who writes for renowned SAFC podcasters Roker Report, the six-foot-two powerhouse, like Morelos, is hungry for goals, and is the same age at 25.
Stewart is also Scottish as well, and has played in the Scottish Premiership before, so should be able to settle fairly quickly at the Light Blues.
